Looks like a 86 Monte or GP:

CRF 85-88 LG4 305 powered Monte Carlos/Pont Gr Prix

That's what I first thought.
'86 Monte (w/305)is 6CR.
Along that line ,the 85 (w/305) is 5CR and the 86(w/305) is 6CR.
'87 GP(w/305) is 7CC and '88 GP(w/305) is 8CC.

I checked with chevy and they think the (F) means 85 . Just wanted to know if this is a good trans to install in my 1971 Chevelle

The 'F' started in 86 -denotes 200-4R.
