Hello everyone, I have a 496 that I have a question on the oil pan. The pan I have has a hole in the front of the pan where the timing cover sits. I put in a one piece felpro gasket and it leaks through this hole. I have looked at pictures of other oil pans and they have the same hole. Is this hole for a gasket nipple? Do they make a gasket that has a nipple that goes here? I have the engine out because of this leak and want to cure this problem. Suggestions or comments please. Thanks

I believe the front of the gasket has little blue nubs, that are to pass through these holes. It could be you got one folded over holding the pan off the gasket and it's leaking.
