I'm putting a big block in my 70 chevelle, it was originally a 307 car. Just received my big block motor mount kit, motor mounts and frame mounts. does anyone have a picture of the frame mounts bolted to the frame. One of the frame mounts has 4 holes and one has 5 holes, I need to know which is the pass side and which is the driver side. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Butch:D

Can you help? What is the measurement from the frame (front face) to the frame mount (the bolt surface on the mount)? On the passenger side of my '69 it is 3/4" forward. I'm doing a '66 and the mount hangs over the frame about 1 1/4". Oil pan interference at the crossmember. Motor seems too far forward. Maybe I have the wrong frame mount? 6 cyl?

not sure about the mounts mine hang over the front of the crossmember on my 71 but if your pan is hitting the crossmember it might be the wrong pan chevelles have a 2 step pan that steps down twice from the beginning of the front of the pan to the long wall at the front of the sump. If your pan only has one step and then a long slope to the sump IT IS NOT A CHEVELLE PAN. I went through a nightmare on my friends 68 El Camino bb and that was the problem. good luck. if you have the right pan you should have 1/2 in. clearance between the pan and the crossmember
