Nowadays, I rarely look forward to new music to debut. This has definately sparked an interest.

Sammy Hagar: liked him w/ Van Halen (liked DLR more) and seems to still "have it".

Joe Satriani: one of my favorite guitar players (better music in the 1st 2/3s of his career, got a little weird after) and one of the world's best.

Michael Anthony: could say "nuff said", but awesome player and is great w/ harmonies.

Chad Smith: this is the "unknown factor" for me. I only have a couple RHCP songs.

I'll sample it once it hits Amazon and if all is good, this might be the first CD purchases I'll make in YEARS. I hope its a really good, late 70s, 80s, early 90s type, rock & roll blast.

Crossin' my fingers!:thumbsup::D

Well, I've heard a few songs and :30 clips of the whole lineup and I'm not overly impressed:sad:.
One song that did shine WAY above the rest is this one:

They talk about that band often on the classic station here locally. Although every time they do they always mention Satriani, Hagar and Anthony but never mention Chad Smith (drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers). I dont really understand why.

Our local radio station did a phone interview with Satriani and played a couple songs from the new disc. I don't rember the names but they were both pretty good IMO.
