: Help decoding my engine & Crank 69isfine Mar 9th, 04, 9:22 PM I have a 69 SS Chevelle Would like some help decoding.. the block casting# 3855961 TI203IG & 6D134464 I or 1 ??? the Crank # GMT7 graemlins/waving.gif supersport6667 Mar 9th, 04, 11:08 PM Block is a 65/66 396 by #961 casting number the motor is originally out of an impala/caprice etc. because of the IG code on the deck I was for full size cars, E was for chevelles. The crank should have the #6223 on one of the first 2 counterwieghts being a forged steel crankshaft. If U ever rebuild the motor this block needs the rear cam journal on cam grooved for oiling to lifters. | ||
