Folks, came across a little problem this weekend. 70 Elcamino custom with SS454 options including power steering and AC. I was rebuilding the front end and replaced all the bushings, bumper's, idler arm tierod ends, with poly graphite. Bought a new center link from Ground up to complete the front end rebuild. All went well together with the exception of the center link. The center link was riding on the frame center cross member and holding the idler link above the frame attachment holes when attached to the pitman arm. This was not going to work unless I start grinding something. Looked at the center link closely and measured it at 15/16 of a inch. Dug up the center link I orginally took out and measured it at 7/8 of a inch. I thought the 7/8 center links where for 64-67 models. I also thought the 68-72 Chevelle and Elcamino where the same. Guess I'm wrong. Have anybody come across this before?
