Hey everyone,

Just got the car all painted in BC/CC. When can I start using a car cover? Also, what do you guys recommend to use to clean off any dust on the car? Thanks!

The "California Duster" works real good at removing dust from the car's paint finish.

Be careful on using the car cover too soon. It will wreck your fresh paint.

I'd give it several months. The longer the better.

I read somewhere that you should wait three to six months before using a car cover on fresh paint. Whenever you do decide to use a car cover make sure there is a good layer of wax to protect your paint. Always use a microfiber cloth or product on paint to re move dust. It won't scratch. Just my 2 cents.

I'd have said "never". I've never seen a car cover that didn't auger the paint--but maybe my experiences are too limited.

Gus:
What type of cover are you asking about? By that I mean do you have a garage and want something to keep dust off or do you store the car outside thus the need for a cover?
