Ok, its not as sexy as BrIan's bucket but I'd like your thoughts on this one:

Its the 6709 Kevin sent me, 4150 750 CFM double pumper.
On the primary side
70 jets (65 is the stock)
4.5 power valve
30cc pump
#25 squirter
white cam
On the secondary side
76 jets
4.5 power valve
50 cc pump
brown cam
#37 squirter

I replaced the front bowl to get all the emissions junk off it. From what I can tell from the spec sheet the only difference from stock are the 70 primary jets. I have to take the bowls and blocks back off it as the gaskets are wrong for the carb but I wanted to assemble it anyway to make sure all the parts were there.

Do all the holleys come with "pills" under the squiters? I put them in as they came with the AED Pro Carb kit I got from Competiton Products. The kit had replacement screws and bolts and I needed some. I'll have to get another Trick Kit for the proper gaskets. It wasn't as difficult as I thought but then again I haven't tried it:)

Looks really good, Mark. Gotta love those blue gaskets. Easy re & re without tearing.

I agree, squirter in front is small....my Speed Demon 750 comes with 31 squirters front and rear, which may need to be changed but we'll see.

With respect to Brian....I've heard milling the choke tower doesn't do anything but delete your choke....not that you'd do it anyway.

My ProForm main body came with the choke horn milled off, wonder why they'd do that if it wasn't a good idea ? :confused:

The small front squirter may have been because it was an emissions carb.(BTW George, payback is a medevac;)) If I stepped it up in the front, would I also have to change the front cam?

Milling the choke horn will come much later, I'll just be happy if it idles and doesn't leak.

No, you can put a 35 on the front if u wanted with the same cam its just something you gotta mess with to get it snappy off idle. Like the others have said I think a 31 in the front and a 33 or 35 in the rear would be a good baseline.

Some other ideas, block the rear PV and go up 8 jets sizes in the rear.

Anyone else think the jets seem way lean other than me?:confused:

Brian,

Mark's future 427 probably would like more than the 25 frt squirter.
He'll probably end up 31 squirters
Even the 70 frt jetting seems small.....homely 3310 VSs come with 72s, I'd think 72 or 74 frt jets.....
With his mondo cam, I think the 4.5 PV is right in the ballpark

The back half of the carb sounds OK.
Think the 74 with 4.5 PV is very close

My 355 is running...
72/84 jets, 4.5 PV, 31/32 squirters in my 750dp.

I think Mark needs to go bigger.:yes:

My 396 Liked 4.5, 31/35, 74,90 jets. I put that carb on my dads 383 and it loved it too
