Ready for another season of Lowes Cruises?

I'll be going there almost every Friday night. The only nights I may not go there will be when I hit one of those other cruises in the other post.

Chevelle was at home. I drove down in a Chrysler 300.

I found a cracked and seeping rubber brake hose on the RF caliper, so the Chevelle won't be there. :(

Well I was on my way to Lowes. i pulled the car out of the garage was about to clean it up a bit before i left, went to start it back up, and the starter died. I couldn't believe it.

Next weekend is the 22nd Annual Mid Atlantic Chevelle Show / ACES Northeast regional, so I won't be at Lowes. Y'all will have to grab your own parking spots. :p

I am getting my Chevelle ready for the MCC/ACES Northeast show. Gary and I are meeting at the Crackerbarrel in Churchville at 7am Saturday. I was talking to James Hinshaw,and he is going to meet us there also. Anyone else who would like to meet with us is more than welcome. The more the merrier....Bob

My mother is stabilized now, so I was able to hit the cruise at Lowes. About 150 - 200 cars were there, Dan even came up!

It's going to screw things up this weekend. I figure Friday night for the cruise and Saturday are going to be washes no matter what.

I'm hoping it doesn't reach us until late friday night, but who knows. Just have to keep an eye on it. If it looks fairly clear, i might head up maybe 4-6/6:30, then head out.

I'm probably going to bag it. Even if I left directly from work, I wouldn't get there until 6-6:30 thanks to the lovely state of Delaware.

Just got back from the Walmart, man, i got there at like 5:30 and there were 10 cars. It was almost dead until around 6:30. It's a pretty good cruise place, never been there before.

The weekend of the 4th - 6th, there is the Grand Slam Show at Harford Community College Fri, Sat, and Sunday. I generally show up only on Sunday, this time I'm coming with Plan B as the "judges" believe my Chevelle is a POS. :sad:

Saturday the 25th is a show at the Maryland Line Volunteer Fire Company a few of us are going to. It is WAY up York Road, just before the MD/PA line.

Weather permitting, I'll be a Lowes Friday night. A few years ago, I arrived at 5PM at the Shrewbury cruise and had to park up on the hill. My car got FILTHY, won't do that ever again. If you go, arrive early.

I went to the Walmart Cruise with plan B, stayed about 10 minutes as the sky was flashing with lightning.

I'll probably bring the General. Not sure if I will drive it or trailer it yet though. I drove it down to the MCC picnic last Sunday but it had a little transmission problem on the way back. I'll be there sometime bewteen 4-5.

Fox Run Cruise gets about as big as the Lowes Cruise does, and for the most part, there are no idiots going in and out of there. :cool:

Weather cooperated until about 7:30 - 8 PM. I left at 7:30, gotta get up early for Carlisle.

There were only about 100-120 cars there, not a big turnout, but definitely the DIEHARDS were there tonight. :cool: I didn't take any pics, no new cruisers came in.

There will be a Lowes Cruise Toy Run (2nd Annual) on Sunday, October 24 from 10 AM - 2 PM. Last year we filled a minivan up with toys. This year, let's fill something BIGGER up with toys. :thumbsup:

Awesome, since i get out of school at 11:15, i'll be doing body work on my friends truck till about 3, then going to the gym, and off to Lowes! Where in Essex/Middle River are you? 'cause i live in Essex and work in MR lol

I almost made it the whole way home when my alternator bit the dust sitting at a red light. Stalled the motor, killed everything. Ended up having to push it to the shoulder and getting a jump box on it, and foot braking it the rest of the way home.

I don't think there is anything more pitiful than a muscle car broke down on the side of the road. :(

This most likely was the last Lowes Cruise of 2009. I believe we had more rain-outs than cruises. Hoping the 2010 season has less rain-outs. :yes:

That sucks about your radiator? Did it crack? Did you get it home ok? I had planned on coming up but I was battling a head cold/sinus thing and didnt want to be outside at all.

There's a leak somewhere in the core. Made it home OK, Jay followed me home most of the way, doesn't leak when the engine is running.

Won't have it there this year. In the past, it was there as "display only".
