It's my understanding that 1970 Block 3969854 2 bolt main, suffix codes are: CJH, CJI, CTW, CTX

I know someone who claims to have a CJB stamping on that same block. Is this possible?

According to the book I have:
CLB - 1971 402/300 hp V-8 Turbo Hydra-Matic 400

I have a 71 Monte Carlo with a 402, CLB stamped on pad. The Protect-o-Plate verifies that. The engine was actually for the Camaro but was used in other stuff.

And yes it is a TH400 car also verified by POP.

I show a CLB for
(1) '71 LS3 396(402)/300hp w/TH400 and
(2) '72 LS3 396(402)/240hp w/TH400

I may have this block for sale, if anyone is interested, std bore, 2 bolt. Just a heads up, not an ad.
