I have several projects going on, and not enough hours in the day to finish them, I decided to run a want add on Craigslist for a part time body man and the results was great, I found out that these body people were hurting like so many are. I will be able to help a person without a job and receive excellent body work at a reasonable rates. I provide the shop, air and the supplies, Painting, I will rent a paint booth for a day [Saturday or Sunday]
about $100.00. Hourly rates that the applicant's want have been from $10-$15 per hour. I will post later and let you know how its working out.

I am thinking about calling on a bodyman that just recently got laid off to do some floor pan work for me so that I dont really screw it up.Will let him use my place and furnish tools and equipment.Maybe it will help us both out.

I found a bodyman yesterday thats certified, he will work at my shop, he has his own tools, I will supply the materials and the air, he was very willing to do any body work that I need done. He has a family, his wife works, so he was willing to work for $10.00 per hour, thats what he requested. Hopefully it will be a win win for both of us. I'll keep you posted on how it works out.

That's a fantastic idea. You get pro quality body work at a fraction of the normal cost. You help out the other guy. Given that most would not declare this money to the government, it's tax free. The only one who gets left out is Obama (or insert your politician of choice).

I said I would post the results of hiring a part time body man and here they are.
I have had my body man working almost everyday [3-4 hours] and it has worked out great, he's doing a good job and I get to see hows things are done. I will get my Chevelle restored for a reasonable amount of money and he has a job that helps pay his bills.
