I think the going price is $200-$300 for one REDCON-1.
454 units are more $300-$400
Find out what a good turning will cost ya from a local reputable shop.
Doc did tell me your cast unit will last damn near forever with as little use as you'll put it to.:D Your car has been apart more than DAVE's!:beers:

I paid 175 for my steel crank that was turned 10-10 and ready to install. If it cost you 100 bucks to turn it then I say yes its a good deal Mark.

Do you have a tall deck 427 Mark? Or is the stroke the same between tall deck and pass. big blocks? I was thinking is was different or is just the rod?

I might snatch it up tomorrow, it will cost about 90 bones to have it magged and turned. Anybody have the stock journal measurements handy?

$90 for a turn is pretty good. Make sure they leave a generous fillet
