I have been running into walls on every book I have, hope someone can help me with this starter part number. Starter housing reads:

The solenoid housing reads:

The 8C20 is the date code.
The 8 is the year, could be 58, 68,78, etc.
The C is March and 20 is the day.
So, it was built Mar 20, (58, 68, 78, etc). If your car happens to be a 68 model, then there is a good chance that is the original starter.
There is flat brass strap connector which comes through the main case of the starter and is connected to the lower terminal of the solenoid. If this strap is connected right up against the solenoid terminal, it is a regular torque starter. But, if there is about a 3/4in spacer between the solenoid and the strap, then it is a hi-torque starter.
