My car currently has 4 wheel power drum brakes. I will be converting to 4 wheel disc, getting 17 inch wheels, and upgrading the suspension while I have the car tore apart. I recently bought a refurbished 12 bolt that already has new 1980 trans am calipers on it so thats what I'm stuck with there. Still undecided on the front. May end up going with C-5 with ATS spindles or a big front brake kit from CPP. I would like to find a new brake booster and master cylinder to compliment my brakes. Really would like something polished like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-1972-CHEVELLE-CHROME-BRAKE-BOOSTER-WILWOOD-MASTER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1 262QQcategoryZ34199QQihZ019QQitemZ290269774165QQtc Zphoto
It has the 11 inch booster right now and is really tight with the big block. Can I use a smaller booster with the big block? The engine sounds like it does have a mild cam, but not sure. Any help is appreciated, because I'll be ordering my suspension and brake stuff soon.

I have the smaller (9" I think) booster, and my brakes are great, with a 600 HP 496. You need to have 17" vacuum though. My cam was ground to provide enough vacuum for my brakes.

A booster for a Monza of the late 70's era - 262 V-8 with is a nice small one that will bolt up.
