The car has 396ss badges and all the right things saying it's a SS, front disk brakes, turbo hydra matic 400 just looking at the shape of the pan, still need to run the #'s on it ( WERE DO I LOOK FOR TRAN> #'S). 12 bolt rear end, and a replacment 1969 396 motor.
everything so far I was told about the car is coming true. It had a replacment motor and all is original but poor.the only things missing is the front seat, carburetor,alt,stater,fan,. I just wanted to have a chevelle when I got it. But now I don't want to screw the car up ,putting it back together. I have started a frame up restoration and I am a first timer, at maybe having a # matching car.

Sounds like a good start Kent, but if the original engine is gone it's kind of hard to have a #'s matching car, isn't it? I'm not that up on locating numbers on a TH400 but I'm sure someone will be here soon and guide you in the right direction.
