Will the TPI set up off of a 1987 Corvette bolt up to a 1975 block with summit racing 2.02" heads? I'm looking into upgrading to EFI and I got a line on a complete set up.

the year of the block doesnt matter.. its the style of the heads.
if i remember correctly, 85-87 vette used the pre-86 style intake pattern. the 87+ used the newer intake pattern with the straight up and down center bolts.
if you can get the heads with the same intake bolt pattern of the tpi intake you are good to go.
those summit heads are dart i believe...

good luck.

In ~87 the Corvette went with Aluminum heads which kept the pre 87 pattern. Any TPI from a Corvette will have the pre 87 intake pattern. A TPI from an ~87 or later Camaro will have the new style pattern.

i had l98 aluminum heads and tpi set up (MAF with 9th injector), and i tried to put the l98 intake on pre 86 year heads and the center bolt holes needed to be drilled to the proper pre 86 angle.

so i went with a holley carb intake.. which was dumb mistake because i had the l98 heads and full tpi to put back on the 355 that was going in a gmc sonoma..

Then you didn't have a Corvette intake you had a Camaro intake. Corvette aluminum heads were either the 128 casting (early design oval exhaust port) or the 113 casting (later design 'D' exhaust port) both with the early intake bolt pattern.

L98 is the GM universal code for a 350 with tuned port fuel injection. Both the Corvette and the Camaro had L98 engines but they were different.

In 1985, the Corvettes and Camaros (http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/148_0207_tuned_port_injection_small_block_v8/index.html#) used an iron small-block cylinder head. The following year, Corvettes were offered with two cylinder-head options. Corvettes with aluminum heads used an >> intake manifold that placed the ERG flange near the distributor, while the '86 iron-head Corvettes used the '85 design that placed the EGR valve in the middle of the manifold. Then, in 1987, all Corvettes came with aluminum heads using the '86 aluminum-head base-manifold design. Another major change to the TPI system came on the '87-'92 Camaro cylinder heads. These cast-iron heads feature revised center bolt-hole angles. These altered bolt-hole angles required a third base with matching center bosses.

yes i know what is what, and i know for a fact the tpi i base was for a 1987+ heads, with the straight center bolts.
It is the reason i didnt use the lower base because it didnt fit on my 1980 305 heads. i couldnt drill the hole on the right angle, and i went with a carb setup.

the heads i had were 128 aluminum stock castings that the intake fit perfect on.

idk, i know what i had, what didnt fit, and what fit. if i were smarter like i am now, i would have kept the alum heads and and tpi, but i was looking at getting it running the next day, and the next day came 8 months later...
