What year Chevelle? What size wheel? What size tire? There are a lot of tires under $180 each. Sumitomo tires are cheap and still a good tire. Check www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com) for the sizes you want to run.

Andrew, I would try and get some BF Goodrich Radial T/A's, if you can find them.

I be the only one on the board, but I love how 71 350/350 Malibu with power steering and stock drum brakes works with stock 14 inch wheels and most correct modern tire size--205/75-14. Just upgraded from Sears Guardsman 40's to Pep Boys/Cooper Trendsetter SE (50k mile rated, 440 tread wear, traction A, temperature B) @ $54. each plus 10.50 each mounting plus 6.49 each roadhazard warranty, with a $54. rebate. Pep Boys let me watch the work...not real busy Monday morning.

Important to run 32-34 psi...original manual called for 24 front 28 rear! (Much pig squeal and shoulder wear on the Guardsman 40 radials at 28 all around...particularly with the excessive toe-in the car had when I got it...manual calls for one eighth to one half(!) inch.)

I have a brand new set of four Goodyear Eagle ST Raised White Letter radials. 235-60R/14 I will take $425 for all four
