I enjoyed the Darlington spring race of 2003. Great close finish between Busch and Craven. And I was there.

I have to go with the 99 Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt (the winningest driver at Daytona) finally wins the 500.

#2. 2001 Pepsi 400. First time back since Dales death and JR wins.....

Any one where Kyle Busch goes down the front stretch on his roof.

Dale sr. winning Daytona was probably the highlight of NASCAR history.

Can we talk NHRA now? :p

1976 Daytona 500 - Petty & Pearson crash within sight of the finish line, Pearson limps badly damaged car across the line for the win.

1979 Daytona 500 - Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison crash on the backstretch on the last lap, letting Petty slip by for the win. Yarborough and the Allisons get out and actually fight, instead of confronting another driver WITH THEIR FULL-FACE HELMET ON or mouthing off to a TV microphone behind the other driver's back, like these pansies do nowadays.

I can't remember the year, but it was night time at Charlotte, the all-star race(they didn't call it that back then), but Davey Allison and Kyle Petty(Kyle was driving the Mellow Yellow Pontiac), and they were coming to the finish line and got into each other, Davey hit the wall hard on the drivers side and knocked him out cold, but won the race, he couldn't do an interview because he was on his way to the hospital in a helicoptor.

Whats your favorate NASCAR race since 2000?

Well, since I majored in english in high school, and can read and comprehend the question..... :D

I agree that the 2003 Southern 500 was a great race. Ricky Craven deserved the win.
2001 Pepsi 400 was great as well.

Kevin Harvick's first win at Atlanta 3 weeks after Dale's death was pretty emotional as well. I also liked the tribute to Dale Sr. from Jeff Gordon when he tied Dale with the number of wins.

#1 Dale Sr.'s win Daytona 500

#2 May All-Star race @ Lowes (the Winston), where everyone went into turn 1 on the first lap, and crashed due to rain. Nascar let everyone that was wrecked bring out the back-up cars, and Jeff Gordon won.

#3 Bristol night race, where Dale Sr. wrecked Terry Labonte on the last lap, and Terry went onto win. The photos of the car smoking and leaking in the winners circle where priceless.

#4 The 1997 Winston, and Jeff Gordons T-Rex car. Nascar told Ray Evernham not to bring the car back to the track, after the May races. Daren

it was before 2000- 96, i think- but it was Bristol.
the one where Dale Sr spun and flipped Terry Labonte in turn 4 on the last lap because "he was in the way"- when interviewed he said he only meant to "spook him". i think Terry won the race, but his car was trashed.
either that or the Talledega race where Dale Sr barrel rolled his car about 10 times down the front stretch and was back out making laps and earning points about 20 minutes later.
or how about when Dale Sr put the #3 on the pole at Watkins Glen the weekend after he broke a couple of his ribs in a bad crash at (i think) Talledega (man, he had a bad time at that track..).
yeah, i know- they all took place before 2000 and they all are about the silver and black #3, but they were some very memorable moments.

October 15, 2000 - Talladega - 5 laps to go - Dale Earnhardt Sr. goes from 17th to 1st. Win number 76, and, his last. :(

February 15, 1998 - Daytona - Dale's first and only Daytona 500 win. :hurray:

August 26, 1995 - Bristol - Dale wrecked Terry Labonte at the finish line and Terry won. Terry drives into Victory Lane with his front-end smashed up and says "That was a finish, wasn't it?" Classic - I will never forget that one. :D

just a few faves ...

*edit* - Oops - since 2000? :boring: Can't really think of any.
