Anyone know if any parts places carry a glovebox for 68s with A/C? All my catalogs only show 68 w/o A/C, am I s.o.l trying to find this part, I know 68s seem to be mysteriously left out of many parts lists, been trying to find a headlight knob for about a year now!

I have a 68 SS and have run into the same problems you have (everything for non-68's). I'm not sure there is a difference in the glove box (I assume you mean the insert). My car has ac and I put a new insert in it without any problems. I bought it through Year One about three years ago.
I also needed the knobs for the dash. After looking for a few years I finally gave up.
Eddie, i know where there is a 4-door donor car at a salvage yard here in Kansas. If you need a glovebox liner real bad i could check if its in good shape. Its an a/c car too. Any other parts you need?. Just mail me and ill see what i can do for ya.

I don't remember if mine came out of a 68 or a 69, but it came out of an air conditioned car and was made of a hard plastic and attached to the glove box lid.
The 1968/69 Chevelle A/C glovebox liner is made of hard plastic, which is a step better than the non-A/C glove box liner.
From what I have seen in resto catalogs, no one has reproduced the hard plastic glovebox yet, but the best thing to do is to find one used, in mint condition or NOS, or better yet, write to the repro manufacturer if demand is likely for a needed resto piece.
