I purchased a rear of hood seal for my 69. I know where it goes, but I don't know the orientation. I read in a post that the opening faces the windshield (v points toward the front of the car). Does the short leg or long leg of the v attach to the hood?

The short leg is attached to the hood, with the steel clips.
