Hi all visiting from the camaro site. Came across a 68 with all the SS trim including the in dash center tach. I could not see what the tach redline was. Should an SS be a 13837 ? This is a disc brake big block car with a replacement 454. Here is the trim tag info:
03D 3333
68-13637 KAN 37778
765-158 o-T

765-158 o-T That is a malibu. 138 would be SS so you are correct.

Understanding that the trim could all have been added, it has all of the SS trim including the dash trim (SS), hood etc and it is old stuff. The in dash tach is really unique, I don't ever remember seeing one like that. It is a wheel like the olds tornado or riviera speedometers were. This car came off ebay a couple weeks ago. A local phoenix car.

Believe it's called a 'roller tach' and was unique to 68's only. Car is still a Malibu with SS badging.
