I already know its a 65 SS with a V8 but the option codes I need decoded. It also has a 67 coded engine that stumps me.

Engine I thought was out of a 67 Vette but the Partial VIN on it throws me off.

This is a SS Malibu that is sitting in a salvage yard that will go to the highest bidder of all sealed bids submitted. Car needs drivers side fender and door while all the other spots could be fixed with some work. White bucket interior is all there as is the console and dash parts. Engine runs but needs to be cleaned up. Starting bid had to be $500 and I dropped a bid in the hat for it but was wondering what folks here might say its worth.

HO - I don't find a full size 1967 Chevy application BUT find a HC??? = L30 327-275hp with power-glide. Does the 'C' look like an 'O'?

All HO codes are Corvette engines and the D in the VIN would have to be an S for this to be a Corvette engine. There is also the possibility it could be a 1969 350 if the 7 is a 9.

Mike and Dale Mahalo for the info. The engine is still throwing me though since I agree its an odd ball and the HO is there with the O being clearly a completely closed circle (O) Either way Ill be trying to bring her home with a final bid by upping the bid i already placed. Bad part is thats its a sealed bid process and one wont know what the high bid was until its over.

It still has the A/C set up and all so I guess thats a +

FWIW, I dug out my Chilton's (old hard cover version) and found the 'HO' under Chevrolet/Corvette for 65-67 as a 327 w/PG and 68 w/TH - appears to be std hp engine for those years.

If I remember correct, The full size would have a ROCH Carb & Intake 275hp rate, The Vette would have a Holley & Intake 300hp rate.
