As promised, here is the A26 on jacks and the gear retracted and extended.
The background noise is the ground power hyd pressure unit which is supplying hyd pressure to the plane's hyd system. This is used to test, inspect and make any needed adjustments which require hyd systems.
Sorry, didn't get any video of the bomb doors opening and closing.
The main gear swings up kind of slowly because the groung unit doesn't supply quite as much direct pressure as the plane's hyd system. Also, in flight, the air stream assists in pushing the gear rearward.

WAY COOL Tom, Thanks for sharing.

I saw on TV that the air base here in Tucson is having a lot of the old planes fly in. Are you coming to town?

Philip,
I don't think so.
Dave is going to try to take the A26 to 8 airshows this year (Oshkosh, of course is the biggy), and as it looks right now I'm only going to be able to make 2 of them. :(

I love this stuff - something the average Joe dosen't get to see everyday! I love the A-26 progress post & when I spot em they are the first post I click on! Does the nose gear normally retract that fast? Or is it retracting quickly because there is no nose wheel to lift? Excellent video!

Brian,
The nose gear does move faster than the mains (I've watched it from the ground during takeoff). It will be up and closed when the mains are still "dragging their feet".
