Last night I went with the wife and kids to a local place for dinner. Place was packed wall to wall as was the parking lot. Of all the folks in there about 70% were in green Camo for hunting and were there for the dinner and raffle. I asked what was going on and was told it was the 8th Annual "CROW HUNT" I have lived here for 11 years and never heard of it.
They go out in the spring in groups of 4 and try to get as many as they can. The winning team gets prizes and dinner along with bragging rights for the year. First prize went to a team that shot 140+ crows and last year that same team shot 180+ crows. According to the folks at the bar it is all done in fun and legal to bait these noisey birds. They can also take a good blast from a 12 gauge and keep on flying missing lots of feathers. I need to get in on this next year for some fun and practice.

Never been on a crow hunt. Been on a snipe hunt before. Didn't catch anything though. ;)

I hit a crow in a pine tree at 75 yards w/ an iron-sighted 22-250 back when I was a kid and it EXPLODED!
