that almost made me cry, a lot of those cars are at bakersfield this weekend, for the march meet. i was honored to see most of those cars run in person, back when i was a kid, and they were that brutal, technology hadn't caught up yet, and it was all very raw and brutal, couple that with steel railing and bleachers that were almost on the track, it was a tremendous expierence.... thanks for the video, brought back a ton of memories.

Yea, i remember in 1972, my best friend and i ditched school and went to
the drag strip at Ontario motor speedway in So. California. We were only
in 7th grade. His older brother took us. I'll never forget climbing up the
barrier fence and watching the burn outs just 30 feet away ! :thumbsup:
The fuel altered's were the craziest :wacko: rides i have ever seen !
I got to meet Jungle Jim and his ole lady Pam ! WOW what a set of ta ta's !! :eek:

When I went to paint my car I found the markings on both doors for the name under the coat of black paint on the car.

It is my 69 SS.......
