How are colors of "band aid" stripes called out? Are they indicated on build sheet? What are the codes for white and black stripes?

Thanks,
Sam

They are either by the color of the car or by the color of the vinyl top if it has one what color car and top do you have? Marty

Box 44 of the build sheet will indicate. In box 44, there are 4 sub headings: 'LW', 'UP', 'ST' and 'W'. If your car had stripes there would be a 'W'(white) or 'B'(black) under the 'ST'

Wheels

XX would mean it was not applicable like with a sport wheel.

Here how is was called out on builts sheet

LW - Lower paint
UP - Upper color
ST - Stripe
W - Wheel color

So.. a '71 SS with the following 19 B W XX is black car with white stripes and the XX means whell color does not apply since all '71 SS wheels were grey.

How about on a '70 SS with the following: 10 10 B 10, does this mean the SS wheels were painted the same as the car body? Box 45 "AO" & Box 91 is "323FJ".

If its a legimtate SS then its a programming error at that plant. Several of my 1970 Atlanta sheets are like that and they are SS cars.

BTW from my info the XX in the wheel field seems to be on Van Nuys cars.

Yes, The car with the "10" in the "W" spot is a bonofide SS and it is an Atlanta car. The car with the "XX" in the "W" spot is a Kansas car.
