I have just bought a refurbished floor shift column out of 67 SS. It will be replacing the colum shift column in my car. The one in my car has a wiring pigtail that adapts the column plug to fit the dash harness.
The floor shift column that I just got will plug staight into the dash harness without the pigtail. Is this correct, or have I just bought in incorrect column?

I believe the pigtails are needed for the pre-69's and earlier. I needed it for my 68 and it seems they changed the connector for the 69's and later which doesn't require the pigtail.
You should be fine. The wiring at that point is pretty simple...

I just want to make sure that i have a 67 column now, because it plugs in without the pigtail.

You didn't mention it but I assume that you have a 1967 Camaro. The turn signal switch wires from a 1967 SS floor shift steering column should attach to the wiring harness in your vehicle without the adapter pig tail.

Sorry, my car is a 67 malibu. Has column shift with pigtail wiring adapter. Just bought floor shift column supposedly from 67 SS chevelle. The floor shift column does plug in directly without the pigtail, but the wire colors for the ts switch do not match my wiring diagrams. I'm probable thinking too far into this, but i'd just like to know from you ss guys if your column has a pigtail adapter or plugs direct.

General Motors was pretty good at standardizing the signal switch wiring (even when the connector changed from curved to the straight "harmonica" connector) So even if the wires coming from the switch itself may have somewhat different colors, the function and order of the wires going into the connector should still be the same from switch to switch.

I just finished wiring the pig tail in my 64 chevelle. What i did was take a plug out of a 64 and wire it to color code and plug it in works fine. These companies are not truthful when they say fit. Most of the plugs would not fit my application. I purchased 2z wireing the cheaper brand should have paid extra and got Painless!! good luck!! Make sure you have a wiring book for your application from chevy.

After looking through the yearone catalog it looks like there were different types of TS switches in 67. They sell both types. Worst case I'll just have to swap out the TS switches if there is a problem.
