I need some help decoding the numbers for this transmission. It is supposed to be from a chevelle.

On the riveted tag there is a 274 in the upper center and on the bottom there is
CA 69 14309
that is printed in that order and with spaces.

I think that the 274 is the julian date representing Sep 30, 1968

69 is the model year.

CA is for 396 I think I can only find reference to a C.

What is 14309?

Also on the drivers side just above the pan is the number 19J126004
I know that 1 is the Div ID, 9 is year (69), J is the assembly plant but where? and 126004 is the source serial number matching the VIN from the car it came from.

The transmission has not been cleaned yet so this is all I have. If I have some of these wrong please correct me.

The C is a prefix for Chevrolet.
14309 I believe is the serial number of the trans.
J is for Janesville, Wi. assembly plant. Impala was the only car made there.
The 69 Chevelle has vin sequence starting with 300,001+
Looks like a '69 Impala trans to me.
