Hey everyone! So I took out my old 350 and am putting in a 454 in the next few weeks. Took advantage of the space in the engine compartment and am working with a local kid to get my compartment sanded down and painted (black).

I got to thinking that I've put so much time and energy into the color of the exterior and interior that I should try to make my engine really stand out but I'd like to get some ideas from you guys and possibly pics of your engines to see what I will go with.

So far this is what I do know/have in place:

Black engine compartment
Chevy orange 454 with brass freeze plugs
Ceramic Coated Hooker headers
Aluminum Holley Carb
Black high amp alternator
Black harmonic balancer
Black brackets
Black M/cylinder Booster
Black electric fans
Aluminum radiator
I'm trying to make up my mind/get ideas on:

the pulleys
valve covers and air cleaner (maybe Edelbrock victor series??)
water pump finish
fuel pump finish
ignition box on the firewall or hidden?
I'd love to get you guy's ideas!

Chevelle Tech would be a good place for this.

My ceramic coated Hooker headers started rusting in less that 3 years.
