If the TFS G1 Twisted Wedge head says its max duration @ .050 is 238* and lift is .512 with a lobe seperation of 106, What effect is a lobe seperation of 110 or 112 going to have on these max numbers? Will I be able to go with more lift and duration or less? Also my block is a -.001.

Thanks for any enlightenment. You guys do that all the time for me!!

What's the PN of those?
And please explain Also my block is a -.001.

31400001 for heads. I my compression Ratio Information sheet is says Deck: -.001. I was assuming it meant it had been machined one thousandth down but I am not sure.

OK ,I must be looking at the wrong heads ,for your PN it lists "Maximum Valve Lift (in): 0.480 in."
http://www.trickflow.com/partdetail.asp?part=TFS-30400001&autoview=sku
Now there are optional springs:
"The Super 23® street/strip heads are available with three spring sizes: 1.250 in. single for cams with up to .480 in. lift, 1.470 in. single for cams with up to .540 in. lift, and 1.460 in. dual for cams with up to .600 in. lift"
LSA isn't going to affect the lift ,coil bind, installed height, retainer to guide, retainer to seals ,etc. will determine how high you can go.
I would think that the "Deck: -.001" would mean the piston's down .001 instead of the factory .020-.025 ,but been wrong before.

Yes those heads you are looking at are not the ones I have. Those are 304 at the beginning mine are 314. Trick Flow no longer makes these heads. This is what Trick FLow sent to me when I checked into what the heads were.

You have a set of the first generation twisted wedge heads.

180cc intake port, 64cc chambers, 2.02"/1.60" valves, 13* intake/23* exhaust valve angles, 1.250" valvesprings good for .500" lift, Angled sparkplugs, 50 state legal through 1995...

Your opinion on the -.001 makes since to me. Seems like with that and the .041 gasket on the heads I should have good pistion clearance even with the higher lift? The Pistons are -12 dish pistons.

Same fix for higher lift cam - replace the springs ,set the installed height ,check for coil bind ,check the retainer to guide/seal clearance.
