I am looking for the best paint to use on my cast iron heads. I want them to look alunimum. Has anyone used the POR product for this? i was hoping there was a better option than a spray can.

If you want the look of aluminum heads.. just buy aluminum heads:D. But if you insist just use the duplicolor high heat enamel in a spray can. you can find it at any auto parts store in aluminum color.

well, what did you come up with? did you rattle can paint them or POR15 'em? anybody else try this and what method? what happened after a few hundered miles of driving? my orange looks fine but was thinking it might look cool w/ aluminum color instead. i have both paints here but dont want waste time on something that looks like crap after a few months. if i had the $ i would buy the aluminum heads but i dont, so i'm not.

Whatever paint you use, it will eventually char around the exhaust ports, A VHT or header paint would be the longest lasting. on the other hand, I see guys camoflaging their aluminum heads by painting them orange!
