hi guys got a problem,I sent my 68 out to a guys shop and he finished taking the weather stripping out,now time to reinstall weather stripping and theres 2 channels 1 per side that goes on the roof line but it looks like there should be 1 that does down in front for the wing window ? is there a metal channel there or just the weather stripping that goes there? please help. he says he dont rember taking a channel off in the front? thanks for info joe

Yup, there is a channel as well as a little "elbow" piece.

I don't believe they repo those channels.............so tell him to start looking for them.

Pics emailed to you-the part is called "roof rail molding". I don't have the piece that goes on the A pillar, the pics are of the molding that's attached to the underside of the door opening. The short piece looks the same, it's straight and the length of the A pillar with about a 1" long tab that slides under the top strip. You'll have to find them in a wrecking yard.

Ok i have 70 elkie will the front a pillar wetherstipping channels work on my 68 chevelle

ElCamino's don't have the roof rail moldings. ElCamino's have the weather stripping on the doors, not the door jamb, like the Chevelle's have.
