Has anyone seen this style clip before. We believe it was in the dash somewhere, but unsure as the car was taken apart long ago.

Hi Rick, those clips look like the ones that are on the front of the dash pad to hold it in place by the windshield. I hope this helps.

There are 6 clips total. 4 of one type and 2 of a longer version. The longer ones go on the ends.

Those aren't the clips that retain the front of the dash pad to the bottom of the windshield area. Those clips are a little longer and a different shape. They appear to be similar to the clips found on the flexible dash duct hoses.

Definitely not dash pad clips as Tom already stated...

They were on a friends LS5.

Rick, They kind of look like the clips that hold the heater duct air diverter flapper together?Hard to get an idea of their size from the picture. Sounds like you guys have way too many SS chevelles up there...

Thanks Tom and Rob, I think you're right about going on the duct work.

In the center of the dash is the AC vent, just above the heater controls.
I believe those are the clips that hold the duct to the vent.

They are for non a/c cars. They go to the fresh air duct flap from the firewall to the dash.

I just looked at a 70 round gauge dash with the dash pad off and those are not the clips that hold this duct as I thought. They look similar, but not the same. I don't know where those clips go that you have there. Let us know when you figure it out ok
