I recently ordered some SPC arms from SC&C, I need to replace my worn out control arm shaft studs while I have everything apart. SC&C sells a stainless kit to do this, but the $50 price tag was just a bit too much for some bolts and lock nuts.

What have you guys been doing to replace these, just buying the factory replacements, or drilling the holes and adding some 1/2" bolts like the SC&C kit? If you did that, what exactly did you use? Thanks all!

I went with these from McMaster-Carr

and

along with

packs of 50 on the nuts and washers, 10 on the bolts, grade 8 and way less than $50.

Check the length of the bolts though. I'm doing this from memory.:D

McMaster has LOTS of usefull hardware. Much of it is SAE spec.
