I have a 67 chevelle, it my son's. a while back you would be driving, then car would stop running, I discovered that if I wouuld jiggle the plug in front of the wiper motor (yellow & black) that it would do a clicking noise, then car would start, I would unplug it & tried to jump it still nothing, car would not start. I took it apart & discovered where it plugs into it was broke, so I bought another one off of ebay, replaced it. car started up just fine. after about a month setting in the garage, car will not start. I just don't see how this wiper plug keeps the car from starting, plugged in or not. NEED SOME ADVISE PLEASE

I'm no electrical genius by a long shot, but it sounds to me like you need to check the grounds in that area. Perhaps the wiper motor plug was merely a coincidence, and what you were actually doing was making/breaking the ground contact in that area while moving the wires around. There is often a ground connection directly to the firewall alomst directly behind the engine. Remove anything in that area, clean it up well, and inspect the terminal for corrosion or evidence of a broken wire. Terminals are cheap enough, it might pay to cut, strip, and replace whatever you can get to. Many electrical gremlins are traced back to bad grounds.
Good luck and post back what you find.

Keith,
You might try wiggling the bulkhead connector on the left side looking at the firewall from the front. Might even pull it loose and clean it and then hook it back up.
This connector goes to the fuse block and the wires go to the starter, coil, and heater blower motor in addition to the wiper motor.
It could be when you wiggled the wiper switches that you also moved one of these others and didn't realize it.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll work on it this weekend
