Hello all...well Im almost done redoing the ENTIRE electrical system in my 67 SS...and here is where I need your help...

I have a quick disconnect harness on my starter (see pic one)...coming off of that are three wires...red, purple and pink. The only one that was connected was the purple (you can see the other two were taped off) as the car has a HEI conversion. On my new HEI harness, from M&H I have two wires to go to the starter (see pic 3)...purple and yellow.

Ill assume the purple goes to purple but what does the yellow connect too? And what is the red for? I want to clean this up as much as possible and wire it the correct way...

If you're using the regular starter with two small posts on the solenoid-
the purple wire goes to the "S" terminal. Splice this wire to the purple wire in the quick-disconnect harness
the yellow wire goes to the "R" terminal. Splice this wire to the red wire in the quick-disconnect harness.
The red wire with the large ring terminal isn't needed for your application, you can remove it.
If you're using a single small post solenoid (mini-starter) the wiring will be different.
