in my previous post i listed the options on the car i just purchased. from everything i researched the last six digits in the vin should be numbers only. mine are not, checked and rechecked. the last four digits are 136370RxxC085 is this a mistake from GM? checked out Dan's site very coooool. but could not find any info regarding this. thanks for the help. i may be lost in high weeds  graemlins/clonk.gif

the vin# is as follows 136370r23c085. this is on the vin plate on the dash also have found 23c085 on passenger side frame at rear wheel. it is also on the paper work i have, but it is only a bill of sale copied from the vin. i think it may have been missstamped by factory or something. i was just inquiring as i am new to chevelle. i restored a 76 vette, the vin# yielded a lot more info than the 70 chevelle. thanks, again for the info.

mike, i will try to take a picture of it this weekend. i agree, you would think the factory or dealer would have discovered it. well like i said in previous post i just want a well restored driver. i want to enjoy the car, i am currently rebuilding the whole brake system. a lot of people worry about how fast they can go, i like to know i can stop!!!.

Thanks, again mike and as soon as i get some pic's i'll post a link. i really look forward every evening to logging on to the forum and sharing info with respectable and knowledgable people.
