: Senior tech team; required qualifications ?
GAGE 1959 Feb 28th, 09, 11:17 PM I've noticed below some of the members names it say's; Tech Team
and Senior Tech Team. How do become a Tech Team member ?
I found some more grey hairs this morning. Does that make me
eligible for the Senior Tech Team position ? :pout:
furball8994 Feb 28th, 09, 11:27 PM Tech team is non-paying members with low post counts. Senior Tech team is for higher post counts (I can't remember the count needed for senior.
Maybe we can talk to Al and get a special "Old man Team Member" category just for you Jon... :D

I feel so honored ! I do believe the title should read; Silver Senior Team
Member. But i can't be selfish, i'd have to share the category with
fellow members that qualify. I'll be #1, Grandsport #2, etc.......:D

"And all this time I thought FU meant Felix Unger", quote from the "Odd Couple" TV show.
Well that's news to me. Can't tell you how many times I placed a higher degree of "post value" because the poster was part of the "Tech Team".
Just my .02, but it sure seems rather ill-considered to have free newbies known as "Tech Team Members" instead of really knowledgeable, truly expert members.
Yo, Al...how about changing their title from "Tech Team" to "Spectator" and applying "Tech-anything" to those who really are experts?
FWIW, what's the rest of the "scorecard"?
(Other than reading enough posts to learn that a member is "actually" a resto, engine, carb, body, suspension, etc expert?)

Tarnished Silver for me........:D
Xtreme70SS396 Mar 1st, 09, 10:07 AM At what point does it change to "decrepit tech team"? :D
This is a carryover from when the site was pretty small. The designations do need to change as it can be misleading.

No need to discount someones advice just because they are new contributors to this particular forum...
