I have a 1972 el camino that had a 350 and a TH 400 transmission. I have a few questions on wires, as they were not hooked up when we removed the engine and trans. It has a TH350 now and it is a factory air conditioning car. I have an orange wire and a black wire that runs along with the starter wires. I have a feeling that these went somewhere to the TH400 transmission that it no longer has. These Orange and Black wires come out of the main fusebox where the starter and alternator wires come out. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the orange wire may be to your blower motor in the passenger fenderwell.
