Thinking about buying a AutoXray EZ-Read 2000 soon. Will handle some older cars and 96-present domestic, Honda, and Toyota vehicles. It runs about $175-$200. For the average guy wanting to learn about troubleshooting codes, is this a good product? I don't want to spend $300-$500 for one that does scans. How easy are these to hook up and learn how to use?

Thanks,

AutoTap is far better as long as you have a laptop ?

yes autotap would be more usefull if you have a laptop, but the auto x-ray will do the job as far pulling codes and re-setting SES light, and displaying basic obd2 parameters on 96' and up.
