Has anyone used this product? I have a 72 SS and I'm looking for the best results for heat and sound deadening on the floor/firewall only. Thanks for your input.

excellent product, drove my car 600 miles one-way in 90+ degree weather and the interior stayed comfortable and very quiet!

Excellent results. Dynamat Extreme everywhere and DynaLiner over that on floor pans etc. See my signature for pics.

Scott,

do you remember how much material you used for the floor pans?

Thanks again for your reply.

I used Lizard skin. It works great and is much lighter than dynamat. It can be used inside and outside of the car.

I used 2 of the big "Bulk Pack" boxes (32sq.ft.) to do the firewall and floor area. The Dynaliner is expensive so I only used that over the Dynamat directly above a heat source like the exhaust under your feet etc. It took 2 more to do the doors and trunk. I got mine from Car Stereo Online. And buy the good rubber roller not the cheapo wooden one. Use laquer thinner to clean-up. Trust me on this.

It always cracks me up whenever someone writes the word "Dynamat". Automaticly, 6 other people will chime-in about what OTHER products they used....nothing against those products. I'm sure they're all good. I just think it's funny. Like my installer friend said; "there's a reason why more installers use Dynamat brand than all the others put together".

It's called marketing. Look at their website and see all the top guys with unlimited budgets using their stuff. Why becuase they get it for "FREE". The installers use it because there is plenty of margin to mark up the cost to the end user. Look at Zmax, it's all marketing.

I did test the two before I installed them and my results for my needs said Dynamat was not my best choice. Just trying to give some alternative info that might help them save some money and meet thier needs. JMHO of course.
