Has anyone put a Edelbrock air gap manifold on a 67 396 chevelle with stock hood. I know they say it won't fit but there's always exceptions ?

I have one on mine. Many others on this site do also.
The trick is that you have to have a drop base air cleaner and you have to have the rod as short as possible so that it doesn't stick above the air cleaner except the min to tighten the lid down.

So I would guess Jegs or Summit would carry the drop base air cleaner ?
