I am looking for the torque specs on an aluminum intake into aluminum heads on a 350. Please help if you can.

When we dynoed my 383 (350 block) with AFR aluminum heads and Performer RPM intake the engine builder used a box-end wrench to tighten the bolts, no torque wrench. Not what I would normally want, but I've never been able to get a torque wrench on the bolts nearest the carb mounting pad. So, I have adopted the engine builder's technique. Just don't overtighten them, and check them occasionally in case they loosen a bit.

I believe Edelbrock calls for 25 ft/lbs on the conventional intake bolts. Vortecs are less...

Thanks guys. I went 30 as suggested by the parts guy at Shucks. Hopefully this will be fine.
