I just bought a car cover from Costco and I am quite pleased with it. To my surprise, the size listings on the box listed Chevelles! Amazing. The XL size cover fits my '72 malibu very well and this cover would not be suitable for a station wagon. A good feature that this cover has is that it comes with 2 nylon web straps to hold the cover in place and the straps have a good adjustment range. At $34 , we will see how long it will last in the desert sun. If it goes 2 years, I will be happy.
As for the station wagon I got a cover from Pep Boys in the size "F" and it almost fits. The F size was way too big for the Malibu.
Hope that this info is useful.

Hopefully it's got a soft lining. Several years ago a friend had his paint damaged by using a cheap cover. He lives in a windy area and the cover wore the paint off on all the sharp ridges.

I also recently purchased that cover from Costco. From the box it looked and sounded good. When I got home I was not impressed. I thought the inside would be softer. I wasn't convinced that it would not scratch the paint taking it on and off. After a couple of days and before I used it, I decided to return it. I am by no means an expert about anything, but I just felt the "soft side" was not soft enough. I am still searching for a cover if anyone has some suggestions. I hear California brand covers are popular. I looked at thier site and was a little overwhelmed with all the choices.

Good Luck with the Costco cover. I hope it works out.

If you want to save your paint you can't go wrong with a California Car Cover. I've bought several of them for chevelles, gto's, vettes and they all fit like a glove. Extremely well made. It's alot cheaper to pony up for a quality cover than it is to repaint. Call them for free catalog at 1-800-423-5525.

Unfortunately that's exactly what happened to my 2000 Camaro SS. I had no choice about where it ended up being parked and no choice but to cover it.I don't think it would have made a lot of difference what kind of cover was on it because once the cover got dirty and the wind was blowing it was like very fine sandpaper. So at some point the car will have to be repainted. As a side note another Camaro that I had parked inside with the same kind of cover had no damage whatsoever. So bottom line if the car is inside the Costco cover is just fine.Just my .02
