70 chevelle 350. I have 30 degrees total advance right now.
Just installed a carb which is edelbrocks 1406.
The manifold is 2701 again edelbrocks. I am getting about 16 vacuum. Cam is edelbrocks mildest cam. It was there before.
Getting a knock I did not have before I installed everything and only
when in gear, never in neutral. Can't hear it when idling only when under power ie. accellerating.
Every now and then it won't be there when accellerating but usually is. Any ideas? Thanks

It's worth checking your torque converter bolts for tightness. I have encountered this problem more than once.

I hope this is not the problem, but...

A bearing knock at the beginning will not make any or little noise at no engine load. It is when you load the engine or higher rpm that it starts to make noise. Has your oil pressure changed any at idle? If so, you may want to consider a tear down before more serious damage is done.
