so i got a new ignition switch for my 72 chevelle and i cant figure out how to pull the collum apart for the life of me to install the new switch. any ideas?

If you did mean lock cylinder...... http://www.chevelles.com/archive/files/69ignrem.htm The switch is on the outside (top) of the column down near the firewall.
