Hi all,
Putting an Edelbrock 1721 fuel pump on my new sbc 427 engine. The new pump is internally regulated and doesn't need the smaller return line. The tech guy told me to cap off the line and get a vented gas cap.
Question is: Does the line to the charcoal canister on a '71 leave the tank open to the air thru the carb so it wouldn't pressurize or draw a vacuum, and therefore the original sealed gas cap would still be OK? Tech guy didn't know or understand. Thanks.
