I hope to be welding ours in this weekend. I've seen two different types. 4-Piece: http://www.ss396.com/mm5/graphics/00000009/sm/IBX-89K_sm.jpg 2-Piece: http://www.ss396.com/mm5/graphics/00000009/sm/ICC-001_sm.jpg There is a good thread over in the Interiors forum you should take a look at. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192782 Jim Mac Feb 26th, 09, 10:28 PM I used the bottom set, what I did was just measure 1" from the outside hole and drilled a hole there, used some grade 8 bolts with wide washers under it. I welded in the inside rails, I think I stuck a few washers under the seat front outside seat leg to level it. When you throw the carpet over it, you cant see the outside mount anyway. jim dsy1 Feb 27th, 09, 10:46 AM The after-market brackets raised the bucket seats too much for me so I just drilled holes through the floor in the correct locations and used large metal squares under the floor pan to help strengthen the mounting when I bolted them in. You get more headroom this way. |
