I am looking for a decent set of black bucket seats for my 71 Chevelle. I am tired of looking at the wore out seats on Ebay. Is there any vendors selling refinished seats? Does anyone have any they want to sell?

Contact Hinshaw Chevelle (336) 586-0802. I believe they sell reconditioned seats. They are not cheap but they are done well. There are deals on Ebay. However there is a lot of junk on Ebay as well. I would expect to pay $300-$400 for a decent set of cores and then put maybe an additional $500 or so into fixing them. I dont know what Hinshaws gets for a set of redone buckets but I'm sure it is in the neighborhood of $1,500 to $2,000 and probably worth every penny. A lot of work goes into redoing a set.

If you go with Hinshaw you wont be dissapointed with the quality.I have been to his shop several times and he showed us seats being redone.They strip them down and repair and refinish without skipping any details then put new padding and covers on.They are good as new.Almost to nice to sit on.Better workmanship you wont find.If you are ever near his shop you should chek it out.If you ask he would probably show you his personal projects.

Look pretty nice and have a buy it now. Just have to dye them to meet your needs. Any seats you buy will need redone unless you are willing to spend the money for someones work,
