1969 2 bbl original 350ci engine with HD suffix code be worth anything compared to a 4bbl engine same vintage in 5 years, as parts get more scarce. In other words, will 4bbl engines always be the mill of choice as compared to the lowly 2bbl? Not sure if I've quite worded the question correctly, but...??

In running condition to install in a vehicle yes I would rather have the 1969 4 barrel 300HP 350 than the 2 barrel 250 HP 350. Especially when it has 10.25 to 1 compression factory than the 9.00-9.50 for the 2 barrel motor. Heads are different, 2 bolt mains for the 2 barrel motor instead of the 4 bolt mains. Remember I am talking about the 1969-1970 engines. 1971+ they are both the same with 8.5 to 1 compression and 2 bolt mains.

Knew it was a funny question to say the least. When you go to car shows, y'ever take a real gander at a NICE stock 2bb car w/o shiny goodies on it, or, automatically stray over to the mega-chromed out beasts? I was thinking about this last year as I spent time with a person showing his '64 Velle 2 bb all stock unit.. Was kinda nice and I was suprised at the amount of people showing interest and stopping by to trade tales.. Few of 'em even said they wished they had left their cars stock, but, back in the day, it was not like that, and, many a decent car was butchered up in various ways.
Thanks Larry G.
